| Whether we are mothers ourselves or simply have someone in our lives who has played a motherly role to us, chances are, our lives have been influenced in profound ways by motherhood. Let's take a moment in this issue to honour, value, and draw lessons from the incredible wisdom of women and mothers who have impacted our worlds. | | At 29 and married for just a month, she found out she had Stage 3.5 lymphoma and fought for her life One month after her wedding, Kristen Juliet Soh discovered she had advanced lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that affects the body's lymphatic system. She opened up to CNA Women about how she fought for her life, overcame extraordinary trials with her husband, and went on to have two children. | | Financial Lessons From Mom That Built A Lasting Legacy Some of the most valuable financial lessons are taught at home from a young age and can be instrumental in building a legacy of financial stability and security. Elliot Kallen's mother is a survivor of the Great Depression and the Auschwitz concentration camp. Having applied his mother's advice to real-life situations to sustain financial well-being and professional success, Kallen, President of Prosperity Financial Group, has won accolades throughout his career and attributes those successes to his mother's words of (financial) wisdom. | | Don't Underestimate Working Mothers | Dana Sumpter | TEDxCSULB | | Proudly Brought to You I seek to reach out to people who believe in safeguarding the interests of their loved ones. Someone once said this to me : Did you know insurance is created by the rich and for the rich?
I guess indeed for the rich, they do have knowledge to capitalize on insurance/investment products to multiply what they already have. Hence, the potential insurance could bring for everyone.
How about the rest of us whom "are not so rich"?
I learnt the foundation of Financial planning and the first thing I did was to plan for my own family. To get rich? Nope. The first things my wife and I focused on was health, accident and protection plans. These do not make us rich.
What these plans does: 1. If we fall sick, we do not become burden to the family 2. If we passed on, our kids are able to survive till they can earn a living and our mothers are taken care of till a ripe old age.
I believe my concept of PROTECTING the family first, is important. How do I plan for others if I cannot even take care of my own family planning first?
I hope my clients could trust me to plan for their protection too. | | | | Sally Lim Finance Executive Client since 2017 Be frank, I have never like financial planner becos after signing up plan with them, i don’t see or hear from them.
It is like a one time business. But meeting Wil-son, he given me an impression of he really does care of what I really need and not what he needs for the figures to hit his quota.
Wil-son is friendly, approachable and really a good listener. I will highly recommend him to whoever I know is in need.
Thank you Wil-son and wish he is always loved and trusted by all his clients and growth in his career.
Huat Huat Huat!!!! | | | | Wai Fong Retiree Client since 2020 2020 has been a trying year for everyone with the ongoing pandemic, and more so for me. In August 2020, I was unexpectedly hospitalized for the first time in my life (besides pregnancy and childbirth, that is) for appendicitis. I was distressed over my health and hit by the realization that I did not have a hospital plan that could cover my hospital bills.
Given my age, I was also unsure on whether insurance companies would be willing to provide me with the adequate coverage. I was then introduced to Wil-son by my daughter, who went the extra mile to search and analyze insurance policies, before patiently explaining and recommending the most appropriate coverage for me.
I am much appreciative for the patience and support rendered by Wil-son during this difficult period and his sincerity and genuine concern towards his clients.
To me, he is not an agent, but a trusted family friend. | | | | Joan Tong Associate Manager, Heartzmail It's a true blessing to have a user and client like Wil-son and I'm glad to be able to meet him face-to-face after having him onboard with us for the past two years.
From the first interactions over the phone and via WhatsApp, Wil-son proved to be one of the most polite and proactive users that I have come across - always asking me good questions on how best he can utilise and maximise the services on our platform. Not to mention he has a very friendly demeanour too, which I appreciate very much.
Seeing how proficient he's become with the system and how creatively he uses it to deliver value to his own clients, I cannot be more proud and heartened. His positivity and forward-lookingness (if there's even such a word) makes him an asset -- not just to us, but also to his co-workers and his own clients.
Keep shining and wishing you all the very best, Wil-son! | | | | Mango Tan Supportive client and wife Wil-son is my husband and also our family's financial strategist.
To be honest, I do not like "insurance agents" although I was one myself some years back. I remember how agents always go into telling me how it would be great to start a savings regime and I agree. However, what they didn't tell me is I should probably get a medical plan first so in any event I'm hospitalized, I do not have to burden my family with any medical costs.
My husband believes in starting right with insurance and he helps people manage their money so that having insurance does not becomes a liability.
He feels that people could leverage on insurance to spread their economic risks with the right planning and save them from any unnecessary stress and worries, allowing them to focus on the people they love when they need them.
I would say his value comes from planning with me and not for me. | | | | Sera Client since 2020 I have known him as my colleague in my previous workplace several years ago whereas afterwards, I got to know that he went on to pursue his career in Manulife.
Buying the right insurance is important. However, the hardest part other than buying the right insurance is finding a suitable agent who can be transparent with you.
Which I am glad I got to know Wil-son, he takes the effort and time to explain and chart up a comparison between products which is helpful.
It is a privilege to have him as my insurance agent. I will recommend people who are keen in insurance to look for him. | | | | |
